POSTOP Class --NO KIDS ALLOWED
Hi Jennifer,
I'm glad you were able to make the POSTOP class yesterday. We got some
constructive feedback from attendees, so we aim to make the classes
increasingly beneficial to attendees.
There's something for which I must apologize, however. We had decided a couple
weeks back that, to maximally benefit the post-surgery patients, we would need
to limit the classes to just patients. We, regrettably, did not do a very good
job of making this clear to attendees or the folks making the reservations
ahead of time. I do hope you plan to attend future classes, and I request that,
if you do, please work it out so that you have someone to care for your
daughter while you're with us.
Again, sorry about not informing you of this sooner, and I appreciate your
understanding in the matter. We look forward to seeing ya again...

I know how i am very protective of my girls, and if someone sent me a letter like that i would immediately take it as a personal insult against MY kid.. like what did MY daughter do to be casted out like that?!?! but then id have to think, if they let my daughter be the exception then what about the other kids whos parents think they are equally great? Its not fair to them either.. When i found out our doctors office had this same rule, i kind of took offense at first.. but then i know how unruly my kids can be on a bad day and i take advantage of that night and take "mommy night out".. its a much needed break from a long week.. So try not to take the letter as personal and just towards your daughter, like i know i could easily.. at least they personalized it to you instead of sending you a generic "NO KIDS ALLOWED" message lol.. hope it works out for you to have childcare during your support group!

Hey Jen,
Actually the topic was about Stress and I could tell for some reason my daughter was stressing the older phys. dr. She was very good actually, I gave her paper and pens to color with and she stayed in the back of the class for the majority of the class with minor questions to me and not interupting anyone.
The reason I posted this was because we had a discussion about it at our last LCBB meeting and some of the ladies were curious what was said to me. I'm not really taking it to offense that much (only a little
....) I had signed up for the class intending on only me going but then I found out that happens to be an early out day at school so I had to take her with me and nothing was said that kids were not allowed so we went. After I got the letter I looked and every Wed that they have the class my daughter has early out and I have school on thurs nights ....so it looks like I won't be going at all. Oh well....life goes on...right
