And he was very sweet and to the point. He suggeted that I not do both procedures at once (tummy tuck and thighs), so I am going to have the TT first, pending insurance approval. Wish me luck! Britt

What do you have to do to get the insurance to pay for the TT? I thought it was considered an elective surgery and most insurance companies wouldn't pay for it. I know I will need one after my WLS cause I need one now and it will only get worse as the belly fat starts to leave. Hugs! Mary

That sounds great! I just heard from the lady in the insurance approval dept at Dr. Katzen's office and she is trying today to get me approved, so fingers crossed, and prayers please! I will let you know, I hope we can get some of it approved at least 1/2. He is going to do the body lift and tummy at once, with the same incision. He said also, and this is for EVERYONE, to up your protein levels to 100gms about 1 month prior and and after so you will heal and not scar as bad. The pictures he showed us last time I was out here, CA, showed people who had lots of protein and their scars were very slim, and not noticeable, and the people who did not take at least 100gms of protein had lots and lots of bruising, I mean really black and blue and lots of red puffy scars with puss and crap coming out, so I am definitely upping my protein, plus it will help you lose. He will do everything below the boobs at once, then a few months later, do the boobs and arms cause he said you cannot hold yourself up to walk if you have sore arms and chest too, plus too much at once. Here is a link to some free samples for protein powder, and I promise, I tried it last night and it IS THE BEST protein powder I ever took, and I mixed it with the egg whites http://www.healthfitnesschannel.com/FreeProteinSample.htm Order it and try it! Also, get the egg whites to mix it with instead of water or milk, www.eggwhitesint.com Love ya! CONGRATS Deb
