Anonymous Quitter no more...
Hi everyone!
Well, I was "Anonymous" in the Stop Smoking group, but I confessed to my friends today (Hi Kelly!) so I'm posting myself.
I had smoked for probably 20 years but had stopped the year before surgery. Within a couple of months of the surgery I found myself craving cigarettes as if I'd just quit. I held off until a visit to my in-laws (NOT because it's stressful there -- my in-laws are dear, wonderful people -- but because my mother-in-law sits on her porch and smoke most of the day, and I was sitting out with her to talk, and finally gave in) but started up again. So, my last cigarette was last night! Today I'm wearing the patch, and I have some of the lozenges for this evening if it gets too bad...
How are the other EX-smokers doing?
Lisa

Yay
Thats Great Lisa!! IM so proud of you!!!! IM doing okay so far!!! Its 3 pm and i havent smoked so to me thats awesome! Now, my husband (who works with me) just put one in his mouth and walked outside in front of me to smoke and i about beat him up!!!! This is my 4th time quitting and he's never.. so ughh it aggrivates me.. dont throw it in my face ya know??? BUT Thats okay, because im stronger than that, and I know that I can do it, and am doing it. I have had some strong urges for a cig today, alot of stressful things happening, but i keep resisting.. i know if i can make it through these first 24 hours then i am good.. i keep chewing my sugar free gum and it keeps my mouth busy!.. Hope everyone else is doing well also!!!!!
