Hello everybody!!

How is everyone doing?? Not a lot of posts lately, and I can't get to those fun upstate meetings with soccer season going on! How the heck is everyone?? Busy as me, I guess. lol We started back homeschooling this last week. That and work picking up, I am BUSY!! I happen to be the kind of person that likes laid back and quiet times. lol Fall isn't my fave time of year. Anyone ready for cooler weather??? Man, I am SO sick of the heat! I do find myself getting cold in the air condition though...that's a new one!! lol I am knocking on wood, but I *think* my constipation issues are finally in the past! Thank goodness...that was truly awful! I believe this week, I am also able to eat a little more and am not having quite as many issues with food going down. YAY! Still struggle with meat though...I get so tired of trying to chew it up well, I just give up after a few bites! Still trying to get in all my water and protein, but I think I'm doing okay. I'm catching up to my hubby's weight...woohoo!! He's 272....only 2 more lbs to go for me! He's trying his best to lose weight, but struggles, just like we all did. He is tall enough to have a BMI of about 39 though...not like me! lol But I'm SO happy to have gone from a BMI of 56.6 to 45.6!! YAY!! Some days I feel like my losses are going SOOO slow...but I look at my loss chart, and it is steadily going down. I'm glad I have the chart to show me. Anyhoo...that's about all that's going on with me! Miss you all!! Post some updates! ~Elizabeth

Hey Elizabeth, I have been thinking about you and wondering if I would see you tomorrow night. But I totally understand about your hectic schedule. Aug and Sept are pretty bad here too. I am so proud of how well you are doing. Way to go!!! WHOOOOHOOO!!! I am having surgery on the 29th...only 8 more days!!! I can't wait!! I am a little nervous but soooooo ready to start my new life. I can't wait for my body to melt away!!! Any tips on what to take to the hospital or have at home when I get out??? Going to miss you tomorrow, hope you get a break and hang in there. I won't recognize you when I see you next. Pam

Hey Pam! Thanks for the compliment! I am just so glad to see the scale going down instead of UP! Let's see...all I needed in the hospital, was chapstick, comfy slippers to walk in, some magazines, and some comfy loose clothes to wear home. I even used my portable cd player a couple times to just veg to some relaxing music...helped to make me feel more like I were home...as much as that's possible. lol The hospital provided a lot of things...mouth moisturizer, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush. I didn't need much. For my homecoming, I had already stocked up on some juice, cream and broth soups, a hand blender...as much variety as possible for my full clear diet. I didn't spend a lot of money on something like the magic bullet...I just got a $20 hand blender from Walmart, and it worked fabulously for what I needed. I really didn't need much after coming home...just the comfy chair in the living room and someone to wait on me. LOL I'm so excited for you!!!! Not long now...you will do great!! Don't know when I'll get to see you guys again, but I can't wait!! Miss you!!
