in seeing actual obesity surgeries performed, go to: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/surgeryvideos.html and move down to either the Digestive System - Weight Loss Surgery section or move down to the Metabolic Disorders section. They have videos of both gastric bypass and lap band surgeries. DON'****ch these if you faint at the sight of blood or anything like that! The website is MedlinePlus (http://www.medlineplus.gov/), sponsored by the National Library of Medicine, and is an EXCELLENT source of consumer health information about almost any medical condition you can name. You can trust the information MedlinePlus links to -- each one has been checked for reliability and accuracy. They have a great surgery video section, also, so we can see what was done for us by our wonderful surgeons. Have a great day! Lisa, your friendly neighborhood medical librarian

I love watching surgery. (I am fascinated by the human body.) I'll watch it when I get home. Kathy
