Ms. Phyllis

I had the nicest visit with our Phyllis yesterday at Spartanburg Regional. She is dry-mouthed, and still using her pain pump a little, but she seems to be doing PERFECTLY! (Her angel, Debra Spencer was there when I got there, and WOW. Y'all wouldn't believe how good this lady is looking!!! She has a "new 'do", and she looks BEAUTIFUL! I think it's time she updated her message board picture ... because the one she's using now doesn't look like Debra any more!) Phyllis' family was there with her, and tending lovingly to her every need. Her meal tray came while I was there, and Phyllis sipped her protein drink like a champ! She's planning to go home on Thursday ... and said she'd join us on Monday. I told her the only Superwoman who had ever done that was Melony, and we'd all understand if she wanted to wait a week before getting out to see us! I think her sweetheart will "encourage" her to stay home if she's not up to it! I'm so happy she FINALLY had her turn, after waiting so long! Dawn

Thanks Dawn for the update. I had no idea that she was having surgery until Rachel told me Monday night at our pre op meeting. I was so thrilled because I know she has been waiting a long time. I can't wait to see her and give her a hug. pam

Thank you, Dawn, for the update. I'm so happy for Phyllis. My prayers have been with her daily. My computer is down 90% of the time and something is wrong and hubby has to fix it. Yeah, Phyllis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. We've all come a long way, baby! Hugs to everyone, especially you angels. See everyone soon, Melony
