I have been having some depression issues and have not been following the rules. I just sleep all day and want to be left alone and unnoticed. I am actually starting to get angry and annoyed when someone makes a comment on my weight loss. I do not know why I feel this way. I have a wonderful life. My body is suffering the consequences and I need someone to hold me accountable. My hubby does his best and is really worried about me, but I need more. I can't put my finger on why, but I feel like I did before surgery. Fat, lazy and angry. Does anyone have any ideas? I am journaling my food again and I am trying to get back into exercising. I need help. Kathy

Oh Sweetie, I went through this and so did lots of people I know after surgery. We are going through so many changes, having major surgery, losing all of the fat with hormones in it, and I felt like I had lost my best friend, FOOD. I promise that it gets better. I was already on zoloft, so I just kept going and felt better soon. My weight loss buddy who had surgery with me got over the sadness by herself. You are so strong just for having surgery. I promise that this will get better soon. hugs, Mary

Mary- Thank you so much for your words. I am starting to feel like I really am crazy! I am on Prozac and have been on it for years. Hopefully this will blow over soon. I hate feeling this way. Thanks for the hope! Kathy

Kathy, Believe me, sweetie, you don't need a beatin'! From my talk with my therapist, I've learned that what we go through, getting depressed in spite of all the wonderful changes we're going through, is extremely common, and pretty close to normal, especially for those of us who've experienced depression before (I'm another of those who's been on Prozac for years). I recommend you talk to your therapist, if you can, or to your doctor about the Prozac prescription -- you may need a dose adjustment. Lisa

Girl like everyone said it is normal. I went through it about 5 months out I was a horrible person thats when I got medicated myself maybe they need to change your medication? It will pass we have put our bodies through alot and it has to catch up with the weight loss. Hope to see you tonight sounds like you need it. Big Hugs Marcey

I think everyone has a time, wether it be right after surgery(me) or months later that they hit a slump of depression.. If I were you I would get an appt. with Dr. Russell, thats what he is there for! If im not mistaken hes included in our 2500 enrollment fee, so use it all you can girl! Hes great to talk to about stuff like this.. even if he doesnt seem like it in a group session. He really does make you feel 'sane after leaving lol.. love ya!!! Hope you feel better soon! If it makes you feel any better the clothes you gave me have been getting SOO Many compliments. i tell everyone an angel gave them to me Jen

What's going on Chica??? Maybe you just need to have your dosage raised. I had to have mine raised and it really helped. Maybe the attention you're getting is making you uncomfortable due to some other issues. I hope you come tonight, this is the time you need to surround yourself with your wl fam. We'll get you back motivated again...we're in this together Kathy Pleeeeeeeease come tonight or I'll have to send out the blood hounds...and you know I will!! Tonya

I'm sorry you are having such a rough time, Kathy! (((HUGS))) I'm not experienced enough to give you any advice, but I will keep you in my prayers! Sounds like the other girls had some great advice and support for you. ~Elizabeth

(((((( Kathy )))))))))) You know I think you are an incredible lady ... but I know that's not enough to lift the "funk" that's clouding your world right now. You've gotten some good advice here, but I'll echo: try to get some exercise ... it will increase those brain endorphins that make you feel better about life in general. And get yourself in to see Dr. Russell. You never know until you try ... he might be able to help. And you've paid for him already. You don't need a beatin' though. Nope, not gonna do it. Love ya, Dawn
