1st Post-Op Visit !

Went back for my 1st Post-Op visit today. It's been 2 weeks and I've lost 20lbs. YIPPEEEEEEE !!! I actually had my first "WOW" moment at the doctors office today. Dr. Byrne saw me in the hall & gave me a double-take. He said he couldn't believe how good I looked. He was bringing other people from the staff into the examinination room to meet me. He said he was very pleased with my progress. I left there feeling better than when I arrived for sure. Susan

Aww thanks for the compliment! I'm still around...just havent' felt much like being online until the past few days. I am getting better every day though. Bought me a girdle to help hold my belly in so it doesn't feel like everything is gonna fall out...ughhh! I think I'm getting all this sipping, pureeing and taking vitamins down finally. Dr. Byrne said it will take me 8-10 weeks to heal. So I've got several weeks yet before I'll feel up to par. But I'll be back full-time in a few weeks ...thanks for missing me ! Hey Susan, I'm sooooooo glad to hear your doing so well, and 20 lbs to boot!!! Even with obstacles from time to time life is good my friend, Amen?!! Hey Girl! That's just AWESOME!! I know the open surgery is taking a much bigger toll on you, but I think that in the long run you'll feel so much better having had your liver and stomach adhesions removed. I am so happy for you!! 20 pounds in 2 weeks is almost worth all the hard work it takes. Keep up the good work. Your healing time will pass before you know it, especially with all the prayers you've got coming your way, and you'll be better than ever! Love you, B
