Protein shakes

I was just wondering what brand of protein shakes you all use. Also, I like to fix a jello salad with lowfat cottage cheese, sugar free jello, and lite cool whip. You just stir it together and it's ready. If I put that in the food processor do you think that I could eat it after surgery? I don't like cottage cheese any other way (except covered with meat sauce in a lasagna!!!) and I know that it is good protein. Tell me what ya think. Thanks Donna

I absolutely LOVE Unjury, which was recommended by the dietician for our bariatrics program. I mix the vanilla with my coffee every morning for a latte! You do have to cool off the coffee a bit, though. You can order it from http://www.unjury.com/ Jerome and his crew there are marvelous, they ship out orders really quickly, and you can set up an automatic order in which they'll send you your protein out automatically on the schedule of your choosing, and when you do that they throw in a discount. Hey Donna You should be fine eating that the Monday after surgery (when you can go to soft foods). Just be sure that the cool whip doesn't have sugar in it. I have tried lots of protein shakes....and if I get my act together this afternoon, I'll bring you some samples tonight. I never tried the unjury...I hear that you either LOVE it or HATE it. I did, however, try AnyWhey (which is also "unflavored"....but smells a little vanilla-y). I add that to fat free, sugar free puddings to kick up the protein. My favorite shake flavor at the moment is from the Vitamin Shoppe - Whey Tech-Chocolate flavor. I add a couple of spoonfuls of ffsf chocolate pudding to it, a few ice cubes and milk and it's like a real chocolate milkshake!! I'll see you tonight!! Hugs, Dianne

I like going to Vitalady.com and trying out all the various flavors from different companies via the sample size packets they sell. I personally did not like strawberry unjury. The unflavored was good for adding to things.
