Consult with Dr. Bour...

I had my consult with Dr. Bour today. It went ok. But I guess I was thinking it would be more to it. It was just rather cut and dry. Here is the reason that this is medically necessary and do you have any questions. He really isn't much of a people person is he? Other than that it went find. Lacy said my insurance packet should go out this afternoon or in the morning. So, now, it is all in AETNA's hands!!! Please pray for a fast approval!! Rachel

Hey my aetna buddy!!! I am sooo excited for you!!

You have to let me know how things go with aetna! I have had my 1st of three classes and have had my psych eval and my cardiac clearance. So, I am anxiously awaiting my next appointments! My next class is August 31 then September 21. Cannot wait! Good luck and let me know how it goes! In the meantime I will dance!

Dr. Bour always seemed nice to me - but then again I'm easy to please.

I was surprised at how quickly my consultation went and how I was never physically examined by him before surgery. But I guess this is all routine for him. Like Melony said, it isn't his personality that matters, its his skill and competency. I don't think you realize how close you are!!! You could have a date any day now!

Thanks.... I know you are right. I would rather have someone who is quiet, reserved, and talented than someone who is funny, inexperienced, and CLUMSY!!!

No, I don't realize how close I am. Lacy said it could take 3-4 weeks to hear from AETNA so we will have to see!!! Take care, Rachel

I'm with Kathy ... I'm not hard to impress either, but I felt "heard" when I had my initial consult. He listened to everything I asked and gave detailed responses, so I left there feeling good about everything. Maybe he's shy.

LOL I know that after seeing him once a day, for all those days in the hospital, he started to joke around with me a little more. And my husband thinks he's the best doctor ever, communication-wise. He said he's never had a doctor spend so much time telling him (us) what his thoughts and plans were, concerning my treatment. In fact, my husband was changing his own PCP a few weeks ago, and asked me if I thought Dr. Bour would be his doctor!!! I said, "Ummm .... NO!!!"
