Sooo frustrated!
First off, I'm going to call my dietician in the morning to discuss this...I just wanted to voice my frustration to my SC friends!
I am growing very frustrated that I can't get in enough calories. I knew I wasn't, and I decided to start tracking on Fit Day. I mean, it's nice to not be hungry, but not to feel like I eat like a supermodel! Well, today, a normal food day for me, is only adding up to 380 calories! My surgeon has a strict 3 meals a day/no snacking rule, and I am just not able to get my food in. I eat a few bites, and I am full! I try to only eat protein food to get in as much as I can. I still drink 2 protein shakes a day outside of meals, just to make up some of the protein, but that STILL doesn't seem to be enough. Everything tastes terrible as it is, but I still try to get it in since I NEED it. I just don't understand how I can get all I need in at this rate! I still cannot get 64oz of water in either. I get about 32 - 40oz. I'm just concerned my weight loss is slowing down because my body is starving. I hope my dietician and surgeon have some answers for me! I go for my 6 week post op appt. on Wed.
Is anyone else struggling with this?

Are you counting the calories and fluid in your protien shakes? Those count too!!

Yep. Skim milk, protien shakes, SF pospicles etc. all count as fluids.
Are you counting the protien shakes as meals or are your protien shakes in addition to your 3 meals?
It seems that there should really be more calories since protien shakes average from 100 - 200 calories each.
What stage are you in? Since you are still so early out, it will be hard to get in alot of calories no matter what. It will get better with time.

Sounds to me like you are doing the best you can. It will get easier.
I surprise myself sometimes now with the amount I can eat if I don'****ch out - especially if I compare it to when I was at your stage!
Just make sure you are keeping up with your vitamins, protien intake and fluids. Everything will fall into place.

Thanks Melissa!
I just got off the phone with my nut, and she said all sounds normal, and the protein shakes will help. She said to discuss it with Dr. Rowitz. She called me last week, but I was out, and I forgot to call her back. So I call her back today, and she says she already sent her paperwork over to Dr. Rowitz that I didn't call back. So to expect a reprimand when I go in for my appt. Wed! lol She is sending an email over to let them know that I did call back though...I hope they make a note on my chart! Don't want to be listed as a bad girl.
LOL
