Well I'm on the losing side. I came home On Sunday and have had no pain. I have alot of gas and ideas to help with will be greatly apreciated. I have been kinda tired. I don't have an appetite so i make myself eat of drink something and i'm getting use to this little pouch overall I give GOD the glory for brining me through the surgery and I know He will lead and guide me as i make changes in my eating habits. Thank you for all the prayers and words of encouragement.

Congratulations!! The hardest part is over and now you just have to be patient and rest while your body heals. It's wonderful that you don't have any pain. You're doing everything right. You just have to eat and drink a little when you're supposed to. It's a new world. I'm so happy for you! Love, B

Hello Cassandra, Congrats on making it through ok and dealing with pain ok. I used a massage pad on my back the entire first two weeks. I had lots of gas pain in my low back and up to my shoulders on the side of the drain. Also, as someone mentioned, taking just 1/2 pain med helps with the pain of gas, also. I didn't take pain meds until someone mentioned to try that and sure enough, 1/2 in morning and 1/2 at bedtime eased the gas pain immensely. Remember to sip, sip, sip...... Hugs, Melony

congrats and welcome to the losing side. the gas is AWEFUL!! but when that passes everything is good. make sure you get your liquids. too many people end back up in the hospital dehydrated.
