DH got the job in Columbia!

(reposted from main board.....) Hubby got the job offer in South Carolina! If he accepts it, we are moving from Florida to Columbia. We will know in the next couple of days if it is the right opportunity for him and if it is a good move for us. I have a million thoughts going on in my head right now and I just couldn't sleep. If he takes the job, they want him to begin on Aug 14th. I will stay here in FL to sell the house, and continue with my job until the house closes. He will be there in an apartment (all alone!). I will miss him terribly. We were apart 5 years ago for about 6 months for this same reason (relocation from CA to FL). 6 months is too long! I have a MILLION things to do, to research, I don't know where to start! I am looking forward to posting here on the SC board! Laura

Yeah for you both. Living apart is a bummer. I lived in Charlotte NC and hubby in IA for about 6 months. Very long 6 months. His Mom had cancer and he wanted to go support her. So he stayed busy with taking care of his mom and I stayed busy with work. The time will pass quickly enough. What kind of job? Anything that you could do as a tele commuter? Mine is in computer software, so I can work from home or anywhere if I needed to. If he decides to accept the offer, I wish you good luck on selling your house quickly. Welcome to SC

Congrats to you and your hubby!!! I wil pray that he makes the right decision about the job!!! I know it is stressful being apart from DH but at least you are only 2 states apart (FL to SC) instead of all the way accross the country. i'm sorry about the separation but so glad you are moving up here. at least the drive from space coast (i'm guessing port canaveral??) is not that bad.
