Help...I am in pain

I pulled my lower back while walking some very excited dogs on Friday and now I am in pain and need an anti-inflammatory med. I am taking tylenol. It is helping with the pain but I have a numbing sensation down my leg sometimes. Does anyone know of any over the counter meds we can take that are not NSAID. I really do not want to bother my Dr on the weekend. Plus I am in the middle of changing Dr's because my has left her practice. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Julie

Arnica Montana. You can buy it from GNC in both a pill form as well as a cream. The pills work like Advil on me (love that!!) I don't take like the box says though......which says to chew...ugh!! If I'm in real pain, I've taken 3-4 at a time. Never had any side effects. Hope that helps!

Hey Julie, I have dealing with this since March. The best thing that I do for mine is to get in a shower as hot as I can stand, and let the water hit my back and my letg. My pain is in my right hip and goes down the leg. Hope you feel much much better soon Mary

Julie, Have you considered calling a chiropractor? I have used them many times when I have pulled my back and have that pain and numbness in my leg. I usually get immediate relief in one visit or two with no drugs what-so-ever! Hope you are feeling better soon. Cyndi
