**PLEASE PRAY**
Hi Everyone,
I would like to ask all of you to please pray for Hannah Sobeski. She is a 17 year old teen that goes to our church here in Spartanburg, SC. and a friend of my daughters. She has lived her life for God and alllll that she is going through now, She is still a living testimony. The below is kinda of long it's the journal update for yesterday and today about Hannah. She is in a hospital in Texas. The strength and the faith that Hannah and her parents Mickey & Debbie is truly awesome.
It's amazing, In an older post, Hannah's Mom Debbie had said, If Hannah lives we win, If she dies, she will be with God in Heaven. It's a win, win situation.
Please take the time to read the below and then pray.
Thank you,
Debra

If you haven't yet read Hannah's testimony spoken through her mom, please scroll down and read the last Journal entry from last night - Friday, July 21, 2006. We pray it will change your life!
We continue to cry out to God on Hannah's behalf. Her vitals are stable today and her fever is down. She is resting.
Mickey, Michael, Andrew and Caleb are flying back to Spartanburg this morning. Mickey will return on Tuesday. Pray for him as he goes home to take care of a few things. His heart is with "the apple of his eye". Hannah is a daddy's girl. Deb rubbed lotion on her arms and legs this morning and Hannah wrote a note that she didn't like that lotion. It hurts her legs. She wanted Deb to use the kind Dad uses. Same lotion, just wasn't Daddy's hands.
Our devotion from Streams in the Desert today is that not only are we to wait on the Lord, but the Lord waits on us. The very thought of His waiting on us gives us renewed motivation and inspiration to "wait for Him". Clay and I prayed this morning that God would reveal to us what He's waiting for us to do. We want to surrender it all so that His glory is revealed.
This child is absolutely amazing. Since starting to type this, Mrs. Karyn has finished her little devotion time with Hannah and the older gentleman that is with the respiratory team came in and just stood beside Hannah's bed and rubbed her head, patted her arm and said "I'm praying for you, Sweetie. You hang in there." Just about an hour ago the PA called me out of the room and said, in tears "I just want you to know that of all the patients that have passed through our ICU, we have never seen anyone like Hannah. She has affected us more than anyone in our career. I feel so lucky to be working this weekend." Another respiratory lady that does not have Hannah stuck her head in this morning to check on her and Hannah gave me the "Give her a cross" sign. She opens her eyes and raises her frail, weak, precious little hand to wave when anyone enters her room. She is honoring her Savior through the most difficult time that she will ever face. Jacob is standing by her bed holding her hand as she sleeps, and she is resting peacefully.
Hannah, not only my niece, but my teacher.

Oh Dear Jesus, "May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O God My Strength and My Redeemer."
This is from Hannah's mother's heart
From the beginning of this journey that we are on with Hannah, her desire has been for God to use her life. After her first surgery when someone asked what they could buy her and she knew that they did not have peace with her God, she said, "Mom, I just want to know that they have peace."
As I shared a few days ago, I was recounting the story of Job with her and I was telling her that after Job had passed his test, God restored him ten-fold. And in the incredibly weakened state of her body, with all of her strength, she wrote, in purple ink, "Mom, I do not want to go through all of this to get lots lots (exact words) of stuff, but that one life would be impacted by my story." For the rest of my life, I will keep that piece of paper. God in His infinite wisdom has allowed this precious baby girl in the most weakened place that you could ever be, to be raised up in great strength to proclaim His message that He has written on her heart.
So what is the deal? What is Hannah's hope? How is grace abounding in her life? How can she lay there and be passing out crosses to those who come into her room with a smile and greet them with those beautiful big brown eyes?
So here is the deal and I have cleared it with Hannah:
Hannah has peace with the Almightly God, the Creator of the Universe. And she knows that beyond a shadow of a doubt that if You call her tomorrow or if she lives 70 more years, that she will spend eternity with You.
How tonight can you have peace with the Almighty God, the Creator of the Universe?
1. Understand that the Almightly God, the Creator of the Universe loves each of you desparately and that He has a wonderful plan for your life. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know that plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope."
2. When sin entered the world, we were separated from Almightly God and we could no longer have communion with Him. Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." That means all -every single one of us. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
3. God has made a way for each of us to have peace with God and that is through His Son, Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16 Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father except through Him." John 14:6
4. We each (as Hannah has) have to individually come to the point in each of our lives that we personally accept the free gift that God has offered. "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9-10
So that is the deal - the whole deal. If tonight in your heart you would pray and ask the Lord Jesus to come into your life, forgive you of your sin and to cleanse you from all your unrighteousness and be eternally at peace with Hannah's God, that is the greatest blessing you would ever give her. This is the prayer that Hannah prayed and that you can pray also right now. . .
"Dear Lord Jesus, I have seen something in Hannah's life that I have ever seen before. How someone could face death and have the peace that she has? But Father it is obvious that it is real. Lord Jesus, thank You for giving Your life on that cross for Hannah and I thank You for shedding Your blood for me. Forgive me Father for my sins, come into my life and give me that same peace. I thank you for Hannah's life and I thank You for making Yourself known to me through her life and now help others to see You through my life." In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
Jesus You have used this one special little girl to touch the lives of countless thousands. Her hearts desire is that every person who has ever read her story to have the same peace with God that she has.
If tonight in your heart you would pray and ask the Lord Jesus to come into your life, forgive you of your sin and to cleanse you from all your unrighteousness and be eternally at peace with Hannah's God, please write and let her know! That is the greatest blessing you would ever give her.
May God be glorified, and may He receive all the praise!!!
From Hannah's mother

***A special "Thank You" to Glenn Robinson and everyone involved in the blood drive hosted by Mary Black. As of 3:30, there were 80 units of blood donated. We can't thank all of you enough for your continued support and sacrificial giving.***
Acts 27:20, 25 "When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, we finally gave up all hope of being saved" but then we find Paul saying "Keep up your courage, for I have faith in God that it will happen as He told me."
Before giving an update, I'd like to let all of you know that Hannah passed her AP test and received in the mail today a record of her 6 hours of college credit. She reacted by throwing both hands up in the air as if saying "yes"!!
The results of the fluid removed from Hannah's chest cavity has shown that the tumor has spread cancer into Hannah's lungs. Dr. Trent's words were "There are small tumors in the lungs". We are still where we were yesterday, where we were when we left for Houston on June 18th, and where we were on May 10th when we first received news of "cancer". We need a miracle.
We had a wonderful prayer time at 3:00 in the Meditation Room on 4th floor, and much of that time was spent praising God for Hannah's life and the impact she has made on us, and the influence that she has had on so many people since her diagnosis. Hannah's dear Pastor's wife, Karyn Wilton surprised us with a visit today and she challenged the sweet young friends of Hannah that are here from Spartanburg, Erin, Keighlee, Allison, Lauren and Jacob, to not allow Hannah's suffering to be wasted. Hannah's life is a true example of total submission to Christ and His plan for her life. There is no fear in Hannah's eyes, she is not anxious, she is not disheartened. As Mickey shared the news with Hannah, her eyes continued to shine. She looked from her dad to Uncle Clay, to me and then back to her Dad, and her eyes never lost hope. Mickey rubbed her sweet, frail arm and said "You know we said from the day you were diagnosed that God was going to get the glory through this, and we still believe that. We still have faith Hannah, and we don't want you to lose hope." Hannah so strongly and so sweetly nodded to her daddy, confirming that she will not lose hope.
So many lives continue to be affected by Hannah's life. The ICU doctor, Dr. Gaeta (a.k.a. Gyda as I so brutally murdered the spelling previously) said to Mickey "I know from speaking with your wife that you have very strong Christian faith. I would not try to take that from you. I suggest you lean on that". Well, okay, we think we'll do just that. God has not given us a spirit a fear, but of power - and Hannah so beautifully displays God's power as she lays helpless, unable to do anything for herself. She so sweetly waves to everyone who comes in the room, she makes sure all of her medical caregivers has a cross with John 3:16, and so many have said "I'm wearing my cross necklace, I love it". Hannah is a perfect portrait of a vessel willing to be used by God, regardless of the direction of God's plan. Would she have chosen this journey? Most certainly not. Does she run this race set before her with love for others, strength, determination and focus, with her eyes on her prize? Absolutely. Here is a direct quote from her written testimony that is included in My Story of this website. "As hard as it might be to swallow, I know that God has a plan for my life and that this is all in His good and perfect will that I go through this trial that He has set before me."
Please pray for a miracle for Hannah - and Deb's words are "whatever happens will be a miracle". We love all of you and will update tomorrow.
