i actually just ran into a neighbor and she asked why we were selling our house. well, i told her. i think i was pissed that she didn't seem to know. of course they know how we have been treated but i guess no one expected me to answer the question. you know you are supposed to just smile and move on. well i guess i just grew some overnight. but i got the most lame comments. oh well. then i get a couple of emails telling us how great we are and how much no one wants us to move. whatever!!! i went through high school. i just didn't expect to pay 250k to go through it again. no we are leaving. thank goodness the homes have appreciated alot over the last year. homes are selling in the high 2's low 3's. we found a great lot and are looking to build there. i am sooooo done with neighbors. long story but trust me, it sucks here. that is unless you are willing to buy then it's great!!!

Aren't neighbors great!??? We have some issues with our neighbor right now. We share the mid section of a chain length fence. Their demon dog chewed through the fence in various locations to get to my dog's ball. (their dog is ball obsessive ) Anyway, they are trying to sale their house and we have a bad feeling that they are going to leave and not make the repairs. Also, we have had a major flood of rednecks moving in. When we first moved in about 4 years ago the neighborhood was a cute starter home neighborhood. Now, the rednecks seem to be moving in by the truck load. Some of them even set up yard sales in their front yard every day of the week. I am ready to move out but we can't afford to right now. We still need to get a down payment together for another house. We aren't first time buyers so it is hard to get special financing now. I hope that your house sales quick and you get somewhere that makes you happy. You deserve it! Rachel

rachel, who are you talking to!!! you don't need money down to buy a house. and there really isn't a "first time buyers special". it is a marketing ploy. first time homebuyers pay MORE not less. if you want some help, let me know. and thanks for the pick me up. i just am so tired of these people. they are nosy, nosy, nosy. if it weren't for my children i could ignore them more but my kids play with their kids. and my house is always full of them. we are looking in some more secluded areas now.

Is that what you do? Morgages? my husband is a banker so he is stuck on having 5% down. So that means if we are looking at a 200k house we have to have 10K down not to mention that we need to save to make improvements on this house. We don't have alot of equity in this home...maybe 15k enough to pay realtor fees and maybe a little down payment. HELP!! Rachel

I don't know many of my neighbors. Our neighborhood isn't social like that. Well, some are but they have their own little groups. I grew up in the country with NO neighbors, so I am used to staying to myself. Really it is a better life I think. More privacy and noone else's lifestyle affecting yours. Just move on. You know whats best for you and your family. Those e-mails are too little too late. Kathy

Hey girl, You know I understand all too well! Look who's trying to move as hard as she can! Seclusion, well I think I'm too social, but that would be fine with DH. The kids need to socialize or be tortured, whatever it's called. Hugs, Melony
