How Long?????? UGH

Ok...I am getting impatient! How long does it take from seeing Dr B to them sending in papers for percertification?? It has been a week and my insurance company has not had anything sent in. I know I am impatient...it wouldn't be so bad for me if I didn't have to get it denied by my primary and resent to my secondary for approval. I will be waiting until the cows come home. Pam

i went through the same thing. it took a couple of weeks. call kim and ask her if she has sent it off yet.

Do you know her last name or is she the only Kim in the office? What is her extension? They have not even asked my PCP for records....I am getting them myself. pam

Hey Pam...I just read your post. I called Kim on Monday and she was less than informative about my insurance. I told her that I had AETNA and asked her if I needed to get anything else for her other than what they would submit. She said no. She made be believe they would take care of everything. She said they would take about 2 1/2 weeks to approve. I wonder if they would start me on optifast with insurance pending. What do you think? You might want to ask about this. It might make them start hoping!!! Rachel
