Books?
Hi Rachel!
In my opinion, both of Carnie's books are great. I do recommend them.
I also recommend:
_Before and After: Living and Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery_ by Susan Maria Leach of bariatriceating.com I know a lot of people have problems with her because of opinions she's expressed on her website, and some feel like her book is just bragging about the expensive meals she eats, but I found the book to be very reassuring about the whole experience (I loaned my Mom my copy, and she calmed down about the surgery a great deal after she read it!), and her mentions of the meals she ate helped me to realize that I would be able to eat normal food after the surgery.
_The Patient's Guide to Weight Loss Surgery: Everything You Need To Know About Gastric Bypass and Bariatric Surgery_ by April Hochstrasser. We have this book at my library, and it's got LOTS of great information. (Hochstrasser had gastric bypass surgery.)
_Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery: Over 140 Delicious Low-Fat, High-Protein Recipes to Enjoy in the Weeks, Months and Years after Surgery_ by Patt Levine, Michele Bontmpo-Saray, William B. Inabnet, and Meredith Urban-Skuros.
_Weight Loss Surgery For Dummies_ by Marina S. Kurian, Barbara Thompson, and Brian K. Davidson.
_The Weight of It : A Story of Two Sisters_ by Amy Wilensky. This book is written by the sister of a woman who had gastric bypass, so it's not really about the surgery but more about their lives before and after the surgery.
I'm sure there are more I'll think of later!

Rachel-
I have three books you can look at. I'll bring them to the support group meeting on Monday if you'll be there (and I remember.)
