NEW TO SITE

Hey Amanda Welcome to this site. Trust me it is the best thing. The ladies on the SC board are the greatest!!! Just ask them anything.... Anyway, I just got off the phone with my sister in law and she said that Dr. *****ett is great!!!! She works in the OR at Palmetto Richland and speaks highly of his facilities and his ability. This is a big deal coming from her because she is one of the most opinionated and how to I say this nice....negative....people that I know. A good note for Dr. Bour (the surgeon that I have chosen) - she thinks he is great too because she works with a surgeon friend of his and he also worked at Richland in his earlier career. I also used Dr Givens (and Strickland) at Riverside Surgical. They were in a different office when I first started with them however. If it's anything like it was then though, you'll still need to attend a seminar with them before you can even schedule your consult. There's no reason why you couldn't go ahead and attend the seminar and/or support group meetings and have your consult scheduled for when insurance kicks in. Also, if you know the information you're insurance is going to require (ie, 6 mos medically supervised diet, record of all past diets, letters from PCM and other physicians, etc,) you could go ahead and start building that history. October is not that far away!!
