Meeting with Shrink tomorrow...

Just have a quick question. I have my appointment with Dr. Russell (the shrink) tomorrow to get the results of my psych eval! After the meeting with him, I have to meet with the nutritionist. OK the question - Does my Husband need to go with me? He is already planning to go with me to the consult with Dr. Bour on August 1 but I didn't know if he needed to go with me to this visit or not. I wish August would hurry up....LOL. I am ready to be a loser! What? Am I wishing for August and September....That is crazy....I am a teacher....that means school is back in!!! It also means surgery!!! Rachel

Hey Rachel! My psych eval is today!! I am soo excited! You are not the only one hoping for September to get here quickly! My surgeon's office said it could be as soon as the end of September for my surgery! I hope all goes well and keep us posted! Jodie

When I did my consult, we did all 3 in the same day. My mom came with me but was not allowed in the pysch consult. I would think that would also go for your program as well. Good Luck Julie

my husband sat in the waiting room the whole time for both of these.. i would wait and take him to the support group tonight at the office and to the only personal visit with dr bour that you will have before surgery! make sure you know everything you want to ask.. hope this helps.

Hi Rachel When I met with Dr .Russell I went alone. It was a fast visit. He just talks about your test and may ask you a few other questions. Then I met with Chris (nut) and I answered a few questions about my eating habits, and we just talked about Optifast and maybe some about Postop eating. It certainly won't hurt for your hubby to go. Hope all goes great with your appointments today!! My hubby didn't get to go to any of my pre-op appointments...I had to bring him to a support group meeting so he could meet Dr. Rowitz. He just has a crummy work schedule.
