Can anyone help me Please?

I am need of a doctor that is willing to help me fight with my insurance company to get the lap band surgery done. I had to have a hysterectomy in 2000 in order to save my life and since then I have gained weight and I keep a real bad rash on my lower stomach. The medicine I have to use cost $100.00 a tube and my family doctors tells me if I loose weight then I wouldnt have this problem. I have tried many diets and even one that he put me on but the diet pills are $50.00 a month. And to me this is a waste of money every monthn if I have the surgery then I wouldnt have to worry about the diet pills. If anyone knows of a good doctor willing to fight with my insurance company please let me know. I live in South Carolina but I will be willing to see a doctor in or around Charlotte N.C. Dr. Byrne who is one of the top 4 bariatric surgeons in the country, and is located in Charleston SC. He is at MUSC, the Medical University of SC, and is now a Bariatric Center of Excellence, which only a few states in the US are. Insurance companies will usually approve surgeries at these centers. Amanda Budak is Dr. Byrne's program manager and she has the ability to get insurance companies to approve people who have been denied. You may not need the lap band, you should also check into the RNY as it has a better success rate, but they also do the lap band procedure. Email Amanda at [email protected] she will get back to you asap and get you started on your paperwork and you will also need to attend a meeting and they will mail you all the forms you need to fill out. You can also check with Riverside Surgical. http://www.scobesity.com They are also a Bariatic Center of Excellence and have been for quite a while. My doctor, Dr. Strickland, was AWESOME!!! Surgical Associates in Columbia does their surgeries at Palmetto Baptist Hospital which is also a Center of Excellence. Dr. Ben Tribble and/or Dr. Dalton *****ett. They work closely with the Baptist Weight Loss Center. They are in his same building. Sorry I don't have their phone number with me. I couldn't go to Lexington Medical because our insurance company Aetna POS has them as out of network which means about double the cost to the patient.
