Morniig DD2! Sorry about your blah day and the stupid train.
QOTD: What woud be included in an emergency disaster kit? I'm pretty sure I have plenty of anything I'd need, but I've never put together an actual kit.
A few years ago I saw a newspaper article about the "10 Things You Need if Disaster Strikes." It was a list of 10 phone apps. I thought it was hysterical. It we have an actual disaster, I'm not counting on cell service, or having a charged battery for very long if I did.

Yeah, there would be a big difference between an earthquake disaster kit and a zombie apocalypse kit as well.

True. Unless....Maybe the earthquake causes a fault line that reaches to the surface and the resulting gas release is full of some sort of microbiotic spore that attaches to peoples brain cells and causes their corpses to reanimate. So probably any disaster kit should include zombie apocalypse gear. Plus if disaster does strike, what would take you mind off of it better than playing with a crossbow and machete.
Sorry...I saw zombie and got excited. I now return you to your everyday geek free menu post.

Good morning! Sorry about your crappy commute. You know I can relate! My commute was lovely but only because I left the house at 5:20am. I don't think I will be home before 7pm. Too tired for this...jet lag. Ugh.
QOTD: Ha. I am literally in charge of safety and security for 6 schools and thousands of students and staff. In a week, I spend more hours thinking about fires, gunmen, bombs, boiler explosions, etc. than the average person thinks about in a lifetime. And, of course the answer is...no--nothing at home. Just like doctors who never take care of their own health, I guess ;)
The lack of certainty in my job situation is really getting to me now that I am back from vacation. I could be doing a lot worse with eating I guess, but I sure could be doing a lot better, too. And today I will be hosting "office hours" from 7:30am - 3pm that include a box of 50 munchkins, and then another meeting back at the office from 3:30pm - 5:30pm that I am bringing macarons from France to! So... wish me luck against the treat monster, today, people!

Hope you get some rest tonight!!
