Morning! Oh, what a week. I'm going to whine about it all week. lol. I hate it when things get so packed into our schedule. OH, and my husband's job schedule changed yesterday from working 3-12 hour shifts a week to working 5-8 hour shifts. Just, literally, immediately yesterday, with no notice. I hate no notice! The actual switch, meh. He used to work the 8 hour shifts there, and when they switched to 12s I hated it. But I've gotten used to it. There are pluses and minuses to both I guess.

QOTD- We go to a fireworks show locally, and we get a few to set off for the kids. Actually, we get far too many to set off for the kids. Every year I tell my husband to take it easy, but he always gets more than anyone actually wants to sit through, lol. I don't mind the neighbor's fireworks either, but yes, I wish they wouldn't do it so late! Last year was our first year living in the country, and it was worse. People here shoot off fireworks for days and days, not just on the 4th!

Food today- I didn't make the food I planned yesterday for lunch and dinner. We were running around so much, at some point I threw up my hands and got a salad at chick fil a. So some of this is from yesterday!

Breakfast- spinach florentine omelet, strawberries

Lunch- Bacon and egg salad on avocado

Snack- lunch meat/cheese/pickle rollups, in the car no doubt. Second to last soccer games today, woohoo!

Dinner- Creole chicken thighs, rosemary garlic mashed cauliflower

sleep study over - yay! My last one (for the research study I'm in) is scheduled for Nov 6. I slept more than I thought I would, so I'll probably head into work later on this morning.

QOTD: there are a few places in town that do fireworks for various occasions, but none near me. Sometimes teenagers (I'm guessing?) will set them off down the street from us, though

23 months out (maintenance):

B: Greek yogurt with strawberries and flaxseed

S: coffee with half & half, vanilla cantaloupe protein shake

L: chicken salad?

D: carnitas with lettuce, tomato, and plain Greek yogurt on a Flat Out wrap

maybe another yogurt later if I can afford the calories

QOTD- I love them! In my old neighborhood folks set off bottle rockets a few times, but I did host a wedding on our farm once and we set of (probably very illegal) fireworks!

I'm cooking dinner for my sister and her wife and kids tonight, plus my "Weekend roommate" is in town too. I'm making Parmesan crusted chicken tenders and a grain mix (quinoa/barley/lentils) with mushrooms as a side. I plan on doubling the grain mix and packing it for lunches mixed 50/50 with canned tuna or salmon.

8 weeks post RNY/ 181 lbs / weight loss stage

B- 1/3 cup oatmeal plus 1/2 scoop protein powder

MS- Decaf coffee

L- tuna packet

AS- 1/4 cup Cottage Cheese

D- Parmesan crusted chicken fingers (3oz)

ES- Quinoa/lentil/barley w/mushrooms

Good morning menu gang! Happy day, I get to go home finally!

I do like fireworks, and the grandkids love them as well. I prefer going to see them in a venue, rather than neighborhood fireworks. I'm a early to bed, early to rise kinda girl and fireworks into the early morning hours irritate the heck outta me!

On today's menu:

Scrambled eggs and turkey sausage , yoghurt with added protein for lunch and meatloaf for dinner.

Hello friends!

Accountability: Weight was 127 this morning so no change but oh man I was eating anything not nailed down last night. All I could think about was wanting to smoke. My Guy had slipped and bought pack during the day. I caved a had one with him and hated the smell afterward. Took a long shower and felt better but hungry. Then all night I was snack snack snacking but did avoid the smoking. Why did I fall off that wagon and put myself through this again? Now I remember how miserable this part of quitting is. Uhg. One day at a time. One day at a time.

QOTD: Fireworks are lovely. For many years I lived in a house where the local minor league baseball team stadium Friday night fireworks were clearly visible. We would hear the first boom and drag all the kids into the back yard to watch. It was fun.

Menu: B: Weight Control Quaker Oatmeal packet with 1/2 apple; L: Toasted cheese (2 slices Dave's Killer Bread, 1 slice cheese, toasted); D: Shrimp ****tail; S: 1/2 apple; ES: Chobani Simply 100

B: (already ate) Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal and apple; L: 1 slice toasted Dave's Killer with 1 slice of cheese; D: Shrimp with double shrimp, half ****tail sauce and avocado; S: Chobani Simply 100 "Crunch" and 4 slices of bacon (I have three pounds waiting to be cooked up so tonight I will make with the yummy bacon making and add that to snacks/lunches this week)

Totals: Calories 974, Protein 92; Carbs 125; Fat 29

Man do I feel for you!!!

It has been about 5 months since I last had a cigarette and the only thing that has kept me from cheating is the fact that my surgeon has told me they will do a nicotine test but I don't know when or even how they test it. I purposefully have not asked so I'm not able to think I can have just one. I already know I have never had "just one" cigarette in my entire life.
