Good morning menu people! How is everyone? I am great! My boss gets back today from a month vacation in Malaysia, I adore my boss and can't wait to hear her adventures and see pics!
QOTD: Fireworks! Do you or your neighbourhood do fireworks for holidays? Yesterday it was a Stat holiday for us (Victoria Day) and last night in our neighbourhood there was a lot of fireworks. I love fireworks and try to see them any chance I get. I am blessed with two dogs who don't care at all about fireworks and my two slept right through them last night. I just wish people didn't wait to after 10pm to set then off!

Good Morning Daisy and everyone!
QOTD: Our town does a big fireworks display for 4th of July along with different neighbors. We generally don't go because we go to bed at 9 pm and we spend the night calming our furbabies leading up to and a couple days past the holiday. Our Jack especially hates the sound of the fireworks. He gets so upset and keeps all of us up until they are over. My poor baby. We can actually see some of the town fireworks from our house. I have always loved them.
Menu:
Breakfast: ham, egg and cheese scramble
Lunch: salad greens with FF dressing and turkey
Dinner: not sure yet but some type of protein

Thank you all who expressed kindness for my lost engagement ring stone, no luck on the insurance angle--no jewelry rider.

Good morning Daisy and menu crew! So glad it's Tuesday already.
We had a great weekend and we love fireworks. Last night we had backyard fireworks at my in-laws house. It's a tradition for us and we really love it. Usually for Canada Day (July 1) we go somewhere- our municipality usually has a great fireworks display in the next town. This year however, we have been invited to a grad party for all the kids from our church that are graduating. Our son is 1 of the grads so we are looking forward to that.
On day 11 of being within the same lb on the scale. I know it will move but it is frustrating especially since I've really increased my exercise and walking.
B: Protein Shake
L: 1 egg western omelette
D: Leftover curry chicken
Exercise will be getting in 10,000 steps and Upper Fix.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
hey yall and thanks for all the birthday wishes! It was so nice!
I worked all day, went to my therapist appt. It was a good session, she brought up some really good points about getting to the underlying issues with WHY I do the things I do. Wht it means to me to weigh everyday, what does it make sense to do? And what other things can I do so I feel like I'm not obsessing about food all the time. Long term maintenance type stuff. it was good. She said, anything that I can do to help others/make the world a better place is the key. Obsessing about food/weighing isn't doing me any favors in maintenance, there has to be a balance once you are further out.
We went to longhorn steakhouse (it wasn't m first choice I prefer Texas roadhouse) but anywho. Ordered a steak, it was overcooked so I sent it back. I wore really pretty retro like red dress (in the rain). I didn't care I was a happy birthday girl. Then the manager came by, comped my steak and gave us free dessert. I picked the chocolate stampede which is a zillion calories and they boxed it up to take home (ate a tiny square last night). DH will eat the rest. interestingly enough, i didn't want to woof it down. I had a few bites and was done. It didn't appeal to me the way it would have before. that doesn't mean I DONT have other foods I would woof down, like peanut butter on a spoon, marshmallows, chocolate marshmallows, smores. There are a few choice ones. I did have a few spoonfulls of peanut butter on a spoon and strangly that was yummier than the dessert.
weight 120.4 today/17 months out
QOTD: I do like fireworks. We are going next month in June to camp and will get to see some there. When they go off in big displays I think of all the cost involved and wish they would just give me that money instead!
B: coffee/prot powder/leftover steak?
L: gizzards
D: not sure getting a cavity filled this afternoon and I'm the worst patient in the world so I have to be drugged. playing that one by ear...
The atmosphere at Longhorn is nicer than Texas Roadhouse, but the meat is mediocre. Twxas Roadhouse steaks are as good as any place I've been.
