Good morning everyone!

It definitely got hot yesterday but we had a good day and I was still the last one to take my jacket off. This morning I grabbed a visor as we are expecting another hot day and I'll be working in a less shaded area... it slid right down over my eyes. I knew my head was smaller too but I didn't expect that much of a difference.

QOTD We've made several trips to Myrtle Beach over the years. When I was 10 we drove out to PEI, drove to Florida at 13 and at 20 I flew to Calgary and joined my grandparents on the last few days of their several month long road trip round the US and Canada. My grandparents are both gone now and that trip holds a lot of special memories, including spending two days snowed into a Motel just outside of Thunder Bay.

5+ months post op

B- coffee w/ 1/2 chocolate premier

L- chicken breast and everything spice

D- ended up eating chicken again last night... I need some red meat... maybe ribs

S- steak strips, coffees w/ remaining premier

Hope you all have a great day!!

Good morning menu crew! We found out last night that our landlord has decided to sell our house and we have to find a new place to live. We are living through a housing bubble right now and real estate prices are soaring so I can't say that I blame him. But rental houses are hard to come by and the rent is at least $400 to $500 more per month so it's a stressful time.

Qotd- we love road trips! The furthest is to Newfoundland. Once as a kid my mom took us by train, ferry and boat. I don't even know how she did that with 3 kids. It was very cool as a kid sleeping on the train. I've also driven twice that I remember it's 24 hours to the ferry, a 4 hour ferry ride and then a 10-12 hour drive when you get off the ferry. With our own kids, we go to PA and NB to visit DH's sisters. PA every year and NB every other year usually. 2 years ago we drove to NB for a week and then went from NB to PA for another week and then home. That was a great trip. Our kids all love road trips and they've always been great travellers.

Menu:

B: 1 egg western

L: Protein Shake

D: Butter chicken in the instant pot I think. :)

Hoping the rain holds off so I can get my walk in but if not I will just try to get some walking done inside. Day 18 of the 21 Day Fix tonight.

Have a great day everyone.

QOTD: I've taken several long road trips, but the longest was when I drove a friend's car from Madison, WI to Phoenix, AZ (she was moving and she was driving the U-Haul truck). We took parts of old Route 66 where we could, so that made it a little more fun, but....ugh. Although the canyons in the southwest were beautiful...

23 months out (maintenance):

B: homemade Greek yogurt mixed with Syntrax Matrix Peanut Butter Cookie, PB2, and flaxseed (boy was that FILLING...)

S: coffee with half & half, protein shake

L: cottage cheese, apple

D: grilled haddock and cole slaw mix, both topped with sesame-miso vinaigrette

maybe another Greek yogurt (L&F?) later on this evening

exercise: maybe a stationary bike? (no water aerobics classes tonight, and I've already been to three yoga classes this week, so...)

QOTD: Longest Road trip I've driven? From NY to Milwaukee for my son's wedding. Was going to fly and then canceled the tickets because there was just too much 'stuff' to bring... Longest I've been on? The summer I turned 16(my birthday is in July) I went on a traveling camp that was 6 weeks across America and into Canada... We left from Ann Arbor Michigan went saw Mt Rushmore, Jackson Hole -National Parks- Yosemite, Zion... went south through Las Vegas to san Diego- up the coast San Francisco- Seattle and then into Canada to Lake Louise and the Canadian Rockies. And many places in-between. The cool part was - this was the early 70's so this kind of craziness was acceptable... is we slept in our sleeping bags in parks every night...no tents just roll out the bag and sleep. They had pre-arranged where we were staying - and there was a back up for rain, usually a local church basement. I spent my 16th birthday camping in the Mountains above Lake Louise, skinny dipping in a glacier lake that on July 25th was still half covered in ice, and saw an avalanche from a distance which was amazing and scary at the same time.

Today's Life: Totally exhausted and I just woke up...life keeps happening and you are trying to squeeze everything in before your trip and all you want to do is be packing for Paris...I keep saying- I have euros, I have a passport, I have clothes, I have a suitcase, I have a ride to the airport, and I have the address for when I get to the other side....Even if I am just shoving stuff in the suitcase Saturday morning - it will happen. :)

Happily I have been pretty steady at 163 this past week- low end of my maintenance zone as I head into the land of croissants, macarons, and chocolate...

Running low on food- so making what is left in the fridge work :)

B: Coffee w/fairlife/coconut MCT oil
Egg muffins

L: Grilled chicken on salad - last night's leftovers

D: Shrimp and veggie TBD

Snacks- Siggi Skyr w/blueberries, cheese, protein Hot Chocolate

Ex: Hopefully gym, if not pilates DVD
