You're going to think I'm crazy... but the only thing that cleared up my plantar fasciitis was... wait for it... periodically wearing heels!

If flares up sometimes in the summer when I wear flats/flip flops too much.

The heels stretch that tendon/muscle (whatever it is), and it eases the pain.

Also, you can roll the ball of your foot with a frozen water bottle... but it's double torture for me... first it tickles, then second it's so cold!

Sorry you're dealing with it. I know how it feels, and it can be debilitating at times!

I may have to try the heel thing..I have done the ice water bottle thing. This is the third time I have had it in prob 6 years...but it is alot different this time. It hurts more the longer I'm on it. I don't have the issue this time with it killing me when I first get out of bed, or with walking after I have been sitting for a while. This time it just hurts like I have a really bad bruise on the heel of my foot and after I am on it for a while I start getting horrible shooting pains running from the the inside to the outside of my heel. I think I could handle just the bruise feeling type pain but the shooting gets so bad at times I'm about in tears.

Hoping the shot the Dr gave me will kick in a little more. It is not quite as bad as Monday, but it is still really bad.

Good morning guys!

I was somewhat hopeful that the forecast for today was going to be inaccurate but it's already warmer this morning than it was yesterday afternoon so I'm bracing myself for the 37 degree humidity. (I work outside) At the same time I've only taken my jacket off twice in over a month and I'm usually in a couple layers while my coworkers are in T-shirts. I get asked all the time ..."aren't you hot?"... "how are you still wearing your jacket?"... it's so bizarre to me too, I'm completely comfortable. Same life, different body... total game changer.

QOTD I have always been a fan of Merrell shoes, I have wide feet and they always fit the best. I am in need of new shoes though and I'm curious how different they're going to fit now. We were at Sail last weekend and I spent most of my time in the shoe department.... I left with nothing because I was overwhelmed by my options and I can overethink anything, including a shoe purchase. The plan is to return this weekend to make a decision and the only thing I know for sure is I'm going to try something I wouldn't have tried in the past, style and/or colour wise. For clothes my first choice is usually UA but have a bunch of Nike stuff too.

5+ months post op

B- coffee w/ premier chocolate

L- chicken breast and goat cheese

D- I've requested red meat, I've been eating so much chicken...

S- turkey jerky, coffees w/ remaining premier

Have a good one!

Good morning!

Today's weather is my kind of weather! I'm so excited- the only way it could be better is if it were on vacation or it was a weekend.

QOTD- as I'm still losing, workout clothes are whatever is cheapest. Whatever is on sale- Old Navy and Walmart work well for me. Their sizes tend to be on the larger side too so I have no problem fitting into their XLs and even some larges. As far as running shoes- I have a pair of Reeboks that have orthotic inserts and that's what I wear. But even though I've never had to buy wide shoes, they are getting loose on me.

Menu:

B: Protein Shake

L: 1 egg western with no bread

D: Not sure yet.

Exercise- definitely a walk at lunchtime and day 17 of the 21 Day Fix - upper Fix today.

Have a a great day everyone!

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

we've got an all-day staff development thing today, so I'm not sure what's for lunch - but as usual, I do have a couple of protein bars with me in case it's scary!!

I've had a pint of Halo Top ice cream in my freezer for weeks and finally tried it last night. Boy - this stuff could be addicting. It really doesn't have any more calories than yogurt (my usual nightly snack), but I can see this being a slippery slope. I'll stick to yogurt - plus it's cheaper to boot (esp since make a lot of my own yogurt - super cheap!)

DD2 - I've gone down to one full caffeine as well (decaf is unlimited). I was drinking two full cafs a day, and my GERD was coming back. It's definitely improved after I cut my caffeine intake in half.

23 months out (maintenance)

B: Greek yogurt with flaxseed and raspberries

S: coffee with half & half, protein shake

L: ??

D: turkey meatballs in a Flat Out Flip-It with tzatziki sauce, tomatoes and cucumbers

probably another Greek yogurt as a snack later on

he yall- super quicj one for me- i will try to come back and add more later. have a deadline and wasn't feeling awesome last night (need to poop) so insides are angry with me including reflux due to the lack of...

QOTD: I have new balance and rebok only on tennis shoes. I'm not particular on exercise clothes. I do have 1 pair of fabletics black capri yoga pants and a really cute red yoga top that is very strappy. I've worn it only a couple times. I also bought some gap fit and old navy fit clothes at our outlet for super cheap!! our local yoga studio has a promo for June, July and august all unlimited yoga for $210 that I jumped on. it is basically 1 month free so I had to sign up. It will really help me get the heck out of the house and get busy with something other than sitting here thinking about food all day. IT's hard yall! sheesh. I have been adding in recumbent bike, yoga each day and that is helping but the night eating is the hardest!

17 months out (i think i miscalculated yesterday's post.) weight is 122.4 today (its going in the right direction!)

B: chicken/decaf/flax milk/iralax

L: more leftovers i think salmon

D: I think I will make indian in the instant pot (naan for DH/maybe rice also but only a bit for him) and the mashed radishes for me instead of potato for the meat/sauce
