Morning folks! This morning has been interesting. I had oatmeal for breakfast and within the first bite, something seemed off. But I forged through determined to enjoy it on such a cool morning. I usually pair my oatmeal with boiled eggs to boost the protein/counteract the carbs (in my heads that's rational). I got to work and started feeling weak/shaky & was sweating excessively. I tried not to draw attention because I work with firefighters/paramedics and they take every damn hiccup so seriously. I knew I needed to eat something-- but never have been able to figure out what when i feel like this. I didn't think I'd make it to the vending machine without passing out, I decided to eat my apple. It helped tremendously- I feel fine now.

QOTD: Ziggy was my favorite comic strip character!

Glad you're feeling better. Maybe keep some of the little cracker/PB packages at your desk in case it happens again... that is the combo my surgeon suggested for me to have on hand.

That was a good hit of RH Peach. Ouch.

Cracer and peanutbutter is a good combo for that.

I too, am partial to Dilbert though if I had to relate to a Peanuts character, it would most likely be Snoopy.

Today, my menu looks like: Breakfast, protein shake. MS: Some melba toast with 2 oz of tuna on them. L: Protein shake. AS: Oikos 000, blueberry this time with a dozen shreddies mixed in so that SOMETHING is crunchy (at least until I chew it into oblivion). Supper, ground turkey with a bit of salsa and flashbang. ES: maybe a piece of cheese. All to often, if I have anything at night it's a decaf coffee.

Of course I'm slamming back the water and vites too.

Side note: I've decided to pursue a workstation that adjusts to sit/stand. It seems to be a growing trend around here, and I've held off asking, but especially since coming back from WLS, I've noticed that I have to get up and wander around every half hour or so. I did every hour before, so I'm not sitting all day at work, but now I think there's less "cushion" there. Gotta get up. I figure if I can stand at my workstation for a while in the morning and afternoon, that would help.

Cheers!

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.
