Internal Stitch Popped or Pulled
A few days ago I woke up to the most severe pain ive ever felt in my life. It feels like someone is cutting me with a hit large knife diagonally from my belly button towards my left hip. It becomes numb and tingles where it hurt. I was told it could be the internal stitch. Has anyone had experience with this before? I am only a week and a half out and am worried this will take another 3-4 weeks to dissolve the stitch.
I'm sorry you're in such pain. I can relate; I had a LOT of pain, and just as it was getting better, I dropped something and unthinkingly bent over at the waist to pick it up and the pain came back; it was awful. Is it possible you moved or bent while sleeping?
I'd call the surgeon, just to be on the safe side, especially if this is new pain that started suddenly.

Yea I actually went to the ER. Got a CT scan and everything. They contacted my surgeon. He is the one that said it is probably the stitch. And it is very common. I probably did bend or move in a way in my sleep. I was hoping someone had a way to alleviate the pain. It is not constant luckily. But I have to be careful how I move.
