I'm doing some vitamin shopping and to say it's overwhelming is an understatement. There are so many brands! So many types! So many that are almost the same yet slightly different.

I'm looking for a balance of high quality yet as affordable as possible (of course I would rather spend a little extra if necessary). What are your fav brands? Are baritric vitamins higher quality? Which brands would you avoid?

Also, I stumbled along this article from OH. I was surprised that he didn't recommend calcium. Other recommendations he gave also surprised me. What are your thoughts on it? http://www.obesityhelp.com/articles/are-bariatric-vitamins-best-for-wls-patients

One more thing: thoughts on the brand Opurity? My hospital sells them in bulk for a discounted price. If they're any good I may try them.

I take Flintstones. 2 per day. They're quite tasty!

I used to take those growing up! Always liked them. But my surgeon said not to take them.

My surgeon suggested them albeit sometimes I think he's a bit crazy.

the ASMBS specifically recommends adult multivitamins, not children's, but a lot of surgeons don't seem to have gotten the memo.

It was interesting, right? I totally didn't expect some of his recommendations.

I like Celebrate Vitamins. They aren't too expensive and I am compliant with them. The ASMBS specifically advises against taking children's vitamins because they may be incomplete. Not knocking anyone doing it, but just thought I should point that out.
