What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?t
I found this old thread that was really interesting. I guess I am not the only or the first. Lots of symptoms that are similar to what I have been having are talked about. You should check it out.

Good morning and happy Wednesday! Sorry to hear about the acid reflux, JB. You KNOW I feel your pain. Mine did not disappear 100% after my revision, and some days are better than others. Yesterday was not a good day, so maybe there was something in the air.
JBQOTD: There's a commercial for United Healthcare that I think is hysterical. I call it the Dirty Dancing commercial. Get's me every single time.
My plan is once again, incomplete. I have no plan for dinner and will have to bring something in after the gym. It will likely be chicken, so that's what I'm going to count
B: 3 oz turkey, tsp pesto, .5 oz cheddar
L: 3 oz tri-tip, 1/4 cup roasted sweet potato OR baby carrots
D: Chicken breast meat
S: Skinny latte, 2 oz ham, 1 oz cheese roll up, HB egg, light and fit, almonds after my run/gym (not all of these, but some combination. Probably the only sure things are the latte and the almonds after my run and before my recovery class)
No totals because of the uncertainty

Does your reflux feel different than before your revision? Mine really does but I can't quite explain it. Right now my entire chest is slow burning, as opposed to before when it felt more targeted in my esophagus and gave me that GERD cough.
Hmmmm. Mine now is more of the chest burning variety. Before my revision, it ran the gamut. It started just as pressure in my chest. Like I felt I needed to pull my bra away in order to take a deep breath. It then morphed into the chest burning, but all the time. Finally, at its worst, I was coughing up acid at regular intervals. I'm hoping I don't go past the burning stage.

Interesting. I was attributing the different sensation to a different cause (like this time it might be an ulcer when last time it was the band and hernia) but I'm probably overthinking it.
Hello everyone,
QOTD: Most of the TV I watch is recorded so I just buzz through the commercials however I have seen the Arby's one and I do like that one.

S:2oz turkey

Hi JB,
Thank you for asking. It's on the mend. I can walk a little more than yesterday. Once it clears up I will be making an appointment with my PCP for a plan going forward. I hoping he will agree to natural remedies like the tart cherry extract pills and celery. I won't mind if he want to give me script for a bad flare up that helps get under control within 24hrs.

I've been having reflux issues lately, too. I thought this was all behind me - but evidently not. Fortunately, it's mild enough that a Tums or Pepcid AC is usually enough to knock it out. The PA at my surgeon's office gave me a prescription for Prilosec, though, in case I have worse episodes. He says that we should scope it if it gets worse, though. I had coffee at Starbucks this weekend that really set if off. I was never crazy about their coffee because it always tastes like they overroasted the beans, but it must be more acidic than other coffees, too, because it really tore my stomach up. I've had coffee at a couple of places since then, and it didn't bother me. So ???
QOTD: I pretty much never watch TV, so I'm not at all familiar with the commercials...
