What's On Your Saturday Menu RNYer?
I just tried to reply to this but lost my message. ArG! Anyway the point was that I've been a cardio junkie for years and I'm proof that exercise without a well planned diet won't make you skinny. I'm glad I was cleared to go back at 6 weeks.
Enjoy your ever increasing strength and mobility.
I've quite literally had a great weight taken off me and it's like being released from shackles!!!

QOTD: I'm only just shy of 6 weeks post-op so I don't know about the surgery and weight loss the weight los****ting me. I had a stall at 2 1/2-4 weeks, but the scales is now heading down again and I am pleased about that.

Have a great day everyone! Tri
QOTD: about six months after my surgery, a co-worker said "wow - you are looking thin today!" (well, not really - I was still over 200 lbs at that point, but at least people were noticing a big difference!). Last week was a real shocker, though, when I went back to my old job for a retirement party, and two of my former co-workers didn't recognize me!
I'm on the board of this organization that's having a luncheon meeting today. I'll take a Tupperware with me and really watch the rest of my food intake today as well. I've had a couple of food-heavy-ish days the last couple of days - I don't need to turn this into a normal thing.
22 months out:
B: Greek yogurt, raspberries
S: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: quiche, salad (there's a brownie for dessert - I'll leave it or bring mine home for DH)
D: Italian meatball (left over from last night's restaurant dinner)
maybe a L&F yogurt later
Morning RNY'ers! I've been on my run and am at bowling. I'm having a flare-up of my scalp condition. I used a product on my hair the other day and most products don't agree with my scalp. My scalp feels like its on fire and the itching is intense. My scalp essentially sheds in this these huge cornflake size flakes- hopefully not taking much more hair with it. I'm tossing that product I used.
Today I plan on making over my closet to hold all my new shoes. And I meet with my nutritionist today- I spaced out the appointments few months to see how I'd do and I'm at the same place weight wise- which I'm totally fine with.
qotd: every time I have a moment where the weight loss reality hits me- I get hit with another. Both of my kids had instances where they didn't recognize me because they Said I looked too skinny to be me. Even my dog has barked at me like I'm some sort of stranger coming in the house. Last night I was trying on strapless bras-- I was encouraged to try a 36 band since they didn't have what I wanted in a 38. The sales lady was certain it'd be fine- I was the doubting Thomas. The 36 fit nicely! I started in a 46DD. Seems unreal...still.
196 today, 23 months out
m1: boiled egg, yogurt, granola and berries
m2: banana/chicken breast, cheese roll up
m3: ??
M4: ribs and a veggie

5'6.5" High weight:337 Lowest weight:193/31 BMI: Goal: 195-205/31-32 BMI
That scalp condition sounds like a bummer. My scalp is usually ok, but depending what hair products I use I sometimes get eczema flare ups on my face. Anything with keratin is a no-no. I've been having good luck with the suave professionals almond and shea butter products, though.

Good morning!
I'm heading out to a couple thrift stores today and then we're meeting my sister and BIL tonight to have dinner and to do my taxes. Wild Saturday night indeed!!
QOTD It'****ting me now too. I'm also getting ever so close to entering uncharted territory on the scale and I'm currently wearing the smallest pant size I can ever remember wearing. I've been in them for a couple weeks now and every time I pick them up I think there is no way these fit... and because I'm melting from the top down I'm at the point where the smallest tops in my closest are starting to look a little big so the reality i****ting. Plus yesterday I was looking through an album that my aunt gave me at Christmas of pics of me with my two favourite kids from their visit in October. I was down 50 ish pounds then and feeling great but seeing those pictures now??...wow... even I don't see the same person.
B- coffee w/ 1/2 chocolate premier
L- turkey slices
D- probably part of a cobb salad... we'll see..
S- 1/2 chocolate premier in coffees
Have a great weekend guys!!

Good morning!! Today is an easy low stress day. It stopped raining so we are taking the dogs on a long walk at the park, then to the groomers for them to get all pretty, grocery shopping, cleaning and then BBQing some gorgeous lamb chops I scored last night for a song, can't wait!!
QOTD - I am almost half way to goal and about 80 pounds down. It is only about now really noticeable that I have lost weight. I can't say it's really hit me yet, but I do not recognize myself when I catch myself in mirrors or windows. The other night my BF commented that he could wrap his arms completely around me and then some and couldn't do that before. He also said don't go getting too skinny on me! Skinny, what a funny, foreign word. I know what you mean about the knees touching, I have that issue too.

b-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda
b2-scrambled eggs
l-kielbasa
d-lamb chops

My BF was patting my hips yesterday and said "Where are you going? You're getting so skinny!" HA!!! 240 is a looong way from skinny but I guess compared to how those hips felt a few months ago it feels like that to him.
