telling others about your surgery

Cory N, this is my approach exactly! I am still pre-op but that is my plan.

I chose to be completely up front. I told my boss and co-workers before the surgery (since I had a lot of pre-op doctors appts) then once I got back to work, if anyone asked, I would explain that I had surgery. I'm not the least bit embarrassed or hesitant to say I've lost my weight through surgery. I would feel more uncomfortable if people assumed I lost through just diet and exercise. I could really care less that people think about the surgery. Those that love me and who I love, understand this was the best decision for me and my family.
