Topics of great importance..

During the past few weeks I have thrown out to the Obesityhelp group many topics that were of great importance to me as I make this journey to WLS.

The responses I got back were encouraging, informative, and extremely honest and forthright.

Thank you again, for taking the time to give thought to and give back such great information. So many of you have accomplished an awesome outcome post surgery and although not easy the end results were remarkable.

I can only hope I do as well. I am encouraged and anxious to be in the post op phase and continue the journey to what will be an decision that will change the rest of my life.

I will say "you're welcome" because I replied to one of your posts. I probably won't ever feel like an OH vet when I reach that magic time (I think it's 3+ years post-op). How can I be a vet when I'm continually learning from all posters no matter where they are in their journey? How else would I know vitamin patches even exist? Who else will tell me where the best supplement buys are? Where else would I find brave people posting their naked, plastic reconstruction photos? When will I ever get the lab numbers straight? My plan is to have the post-op phase end when my last breath is taken.

It's always been 5 years, but I suppose you can call yourself whatever you like, whenever you like ...

I felt like a vet after I lost all the excess weight, maintained for a year, then had Bounceback and finally lost the Bounceback and got back to goal. Five years is about the amount of time that took for me.
