OMG! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself! I finally got my surgeon appointment!!!! It is with Dr. Todd Penner and it is on June 19, 2015!!!!

Does anyone know of this doctor? I have never heard of him!!!!!

Good to hear! I haven't heard of him so I was a bit nervous but I have just been told that he is the head physician at TWH for Bariatrics so that makes me feel a bit more at ease.

So.... What happens at this appointment with the surgeon? Other than potentially getting your surgery date?

You will get weighed......again lol..... Then your surgeon with determine the number of weeks you will be on Opti and you will get the order form. You'll be given a couple of handouts about anesthesia and about your pre-admission appointment. You will sign a couple of consent forms and bobs your uncle... done!

I didn't get my date on Friday, but hopefully you will... It may all have to do with the surgeon. Anyway, congrats again!!

That's who I was referred to but ultimately my surgery was done by someone else (apparently that happens a lot at TWH). It didn't make a difference as I never actually met "Dr. Penner" but rather one of his associates.
