ONDERLAND!!!!!

I finally hit Onderland this morning!!!!  I had been playing with the last couple of pounds for a few weeks.  I am so happy!!!  I haven't been this weight since my freshman year in college or maybe earlier.

For anyone still debating the merits of this surgery all I can say is that this surgery has saved me from a life that was destined to end in a wheel chair or bedfast.  My body was collapsing under the weight.  Last fall I had to have back surgery,  The surgery didn't go very well and I woke up from anesthesia unable to walk!  I spent time in Jim Thorpe and many months in physical therapy to get back to almost where I started. We won't even discuss the torture of needing a walker and then a cane or the hard plastic back brace that looked like a bustier.  In contrast yesterday I walked about 3 1/2 miles in the park and then probably another mile or so in the evening!  The walking was no big deal!  I think God that I was brave enough to do this surgery and Dr. Walton for his gifted surgical skills.
I have maintained for one year at this point.  I am steady at -120 pounds.  =)

Still think you need a revision???  Hardy-har-har-har!  Can I say, "I told you so???"  Oops!  I already did!

You are rocking your banana, sissy!  I'm so proud of you but more than that, I'm so happy for you!  You are looking so fabulous and skinny!

Enjoy your success!

You know, about the revision talk .... there's been a big to-do over on the VSG board with the DS folk chiming in again. Well, out of continued curiousity, I went over to the DS board to look around a bit. I clicked on several profiles. Guess what? Most of them aren't loosing any faster than any of us ... and I'm a SLOW loser!

I think we're all doing great just where we are. ; ) I'm not slamming any surgery choice, just happy for each of us in the choices we have made.

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Congrats.  The surgery wars debate flares up time and again-I like one member's sig line-it says "I'm pro-choice WLS" ;in response to a recent surgery war session.

I have orthopedic problems as well-a foot I keep having rebuilt, and weight loss is key to getting that foot healthy for me.  It truly is amazing how much a little mobilitiy can do for a person.
