Need Some Encouragement Please
I've lost about 13 pounds since last Friday, which is fantastic, but I am wondering if that is contributing to my feeling so weak. Today I took a shower and had to go sit down for about 10 minutes before I could dry my hair. Then when I finally got ready to get in the truck to go to work, I just didn't have the energy to drive there. I went back in the house and called my GP to see if I could get a CBC to see if my hemoglobin is low. I finally made it to work about 10:30 but I am still so weak. I am trying to drink a Isopure fruit drink, but it is slow going.
Is there something I am doing wrong? Is this normal? I really need to work if possible, but I don't know how long I can at the rate I am going.
I would appreciate some advice from you guys.
Thanks,
Kim
When I don't get enough fluids in, I get very lightheaded and dizzy. ((Hugs)) hope you soon feel much better!
Edited to say: Dr. Walton told me it would be about 6 weeks for me to feel like myself..and he was right. Again, it's probably different than your surgery..
I was pretty weak and tired but didn't realize how weak and tired until I started back to work. You don't notice so much just sitting around the house but once you get back to work it takes it out of you. Are you on blood pressure meds? If so, you might need to be off them. I would say it sounds like dehydration but if you had 50 oz of water today that probably is not it....unless that is why you started feeling better, because you got that much water in.

I agree -- call WW! I did not experience the extreme weakness, but once I went back to work I definitely was tired. Last week I left early and was in bed no later than 9 PM -- 7 PM on the day I tried to stay over at work! This week I have been able to stay full days so far but have still been going to bed early. Dr Walton told me the same thing about it taking 6 weeks to feel back to normal. I did not believe him at first but last week I knew exactly what he meant! Since you are getting some protein in it does sound more like dehydration.
Kim, I just think that you are doing too much too soon. I was off work nine days. You need to take some time for yourself and just relax. I never felt the weakness that you are describing. Try some of the protein shakes off your list and if at all possible don't go back to wor****il next week. Heck you're only a week out today. It will get better, however if it doesn't give Dr. Broussard a call, okay. (((((HUGS))))), Rita
PS....How's Melissa doing?
Melissa sees Dr. B tomorrow. I am so excited for her. I think she still has weight to lose but at least she is pushing forward.
