Hey Thomas, good to hear from you! Have fun on your trips! I can't think of too many people here who are trying to slow down the weight loss, but I am glad you were able to!! As far the hunger, I am 5 months out and I still don't get hungry...I have a set time each day for meals, so I don't skip or forget to eat....You will eat more eventually..and like many have said, not everyday is the same, and I seriously doubt you are going to lust for food! If I am not hungry (or whatever hungry is now) I can't even grocery shop, because the thought of buying food is just so not appealing. You'll do great....just wait and see.  Anna

Hi there,

I am about 8 mos out now and still really never get hungry, I eat when I am supposed to and the only time I think about food otherwise, is if I get a whif of something with onions or garlic in it. Not sure why, but those smells say to my head, let's eat!

I remember when I could only get down one string cheese, now I can usually eat 3 with no problem. Meat on the other hand is kinda hit and miss on whether the tummy will allow it. Except for hamburger meat, I can handle that anytime. I just started to be able to eat steak, of course, the amt is about the size of a 1 inch square and have to chew, chew, chew! Chicken is always iffy unless it is stewed and very moist. Still no pork chops, too dense for some reason. Seafood is cool. I enjoy fruits and veggies as inbetween snacks.

I do like wrapping a sliced piece of ham around a string cheese with some honey mustard. Yummy!

I don't eat bread, but have indulged in a small amount of fried zucchini with ranch dressing. A little fat doesn't seem to bother me. I can also eat about 2 small fried cheese sticks. I am more brave about experimenting to see what the ole tummy can tolerate.

Oh, and I eat instant oatmeal in mornings and drink 4 ozs of water mixed with one scoop of protein (27 grams total protein). I take my time eating, seems I can get more down that way. Fast eating has caused me to get the foamies and that is not fun!

Boy this turned out to be longer than I intended. Have fun on your trip.

Phyllis
