Back on Tuesday

I should be back on Tuesday. I didn't want anyone thinking I'm ignoring their PMs or posts by not replying.

There has been a tragic and unexpected death of one of our Thursday night knitting group members. I've been coordinating efforts to support his wife and taking care of details for the group, running errands, making calls, ordering things, etc.

Matt was only 30 years old and died during his sleep next to his wife 2 nights ago. His wife is only 28 and her precious heart is broken. They were married 5 years and he was preparing to graduate with a math education degree from UCO. He was a simply wonderful person.

Please keep his wife, Maryellen, in your prayers. Matt and Maryellen were both very involved in their church and such great friends. They loved children and planned to start a family after his graduation. The funeral is Monday. Maryellen will leave her elementary teaching position and move back with her parents to Arkansas this week.

Please keep Maryellen and all of Matt's family in your prayers.

I should be back to our group by Tuesday.

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

Shelly, Maryellen is so blessed to have a wonderful friend like yourself.  I blogged about the unexpectness of life today and shared the story with my parents-sometimes we get so caught up in aging issues we forget the other side of that.

My DVD came so I'm going to skip knitting today, but I'll be back on Tuesday-it will be my reward for the housework I'm about to do.

Bless her poor heart!  The Lord will see her through.  I will keep her and the family in my prayers.  I am glad she can go home to family as this is such a devastating event.  She is blessed to have a friend like you to support her in this time!
