Hair loss and lycopene

I forgot to ask Jess the other day about lycopene. But, I was at a meeting today and one of the speakers was a pharmacy professor at OU. Her specialty is in herbs and vitamins. After her session I got an opportunity to ask her about lycopene. She had not heard of lycopene helping with hair loss. She did a quick search on her blackberry and did not find anything either. She took my email address and is going to look into it further and get back to me. She said she loves doing such searches as she gets her students involved too.

Thanks for the update.  I couldn't gind anything about hair either. But we could have really healthy prostates!  LOL!!

LOL, if we had a prostate! I am thinking the hair regrowth with lycopene was just a coincidence, but I will let you know what the Pharm D finds out when she gets back to me. Either way, I would be hesitant to try it since I did find one reference that stated it should not be used in people with reduced stomach size due to the fact that it is no****er soluble.
