Charlotte,

I'm sorry to hear about your mother.  I lost my father last summer, and after that seemed like I started gaining weight left and right.  I had no control or focus anymore.  I understand the stress you went through with that, but cannot imagine adding national board testing and surgery in the mix.

I am either going to get my master's in administration (I don't want to be a principal, but maybe curriculum director someday) or elementary reading.  I live within five minutes of SOSU and it would be silly to drive somewhere else to go to school, when I'm already driving to work.  Southern Nazerene University is offering a masters in administration in 62 Wednesday nights, and I really wanted to do that...however the cost of it is $19,200, and it's going to be somewhere I'd have to drive, so I think that's not going to work for me either.  That just seems a little expensive for my blood.

Welcome Marsha and congrats on making the very important decision to have WLS.  I am also a patient of Dr. Walton's but I had the sleeve.  It has been a great ride so far!

We are a great group of people who understand exactly where you've been and where you hope to go.  Or at least I think so!  Ask questions if you need to or just ask for support.  We're always here!  And make sure to see Rita so she can show you around the patient rooms, etc.  That will make it all less foreign to you!

Good luck!  Kim
