Oldtimers
I had lap RNY on March 12th....I LOVE my new pouch. What an awesome tool I have now and would have never in a million years thought I would be this far along by now. For me and my surgeon we felt this was the best choice of procedures!!! I would love to have saved the extra cash but I was not going to do but ONE procedure and it has also totally taken care of my diabetes. I was on 140 units per day prior to surger and I have NOT HAT ANY INSULIN since March 12th. My A1C last time was 5.4!!! Yeee Hawwww. Thanks!

Ladies,
hurray for all of us
Thank you all for your replies, check out Janice,
Holly moly you are looking great !!!!!!!!!!!
I am a little over a year now, and for the first time in my life I heard the words "you should gain about 5 pounds"
ha-ha....at leats that is what my doctor wants, but my body seems to be doing well with the current weight, at least it doesn't want to put any weight on, no matter how hard I try....how funny life is....
Hahaha "You should gain about 5 lbs" ... I wish that is all that man was telling me lol. I love him to pieces, but he is always telling me "You are underweight, you need to gain 20-25 lbs"... I just smile and nod, but I never do it lol. According to weight and BMI charts, I am not underweight at 135 (and I'm hyperthyroid, I can't even put on the weight at 26 1/2 weeks pregnant). Have you had any plastics yet? He did my TT and hernia repair after my first baby ... he did a good job.

I credit that man with saving my life~ He is so awesome! I still see him regularly, even at 4 years out, for aftercare. He is definitely your doctor for life! Feel free to add me! I love meeting other people who have my same surgeon!

I sure will,
I have so for 3 people out of my office who went to see him, on Monday I am taking a good friend to United, she is single and no family in the area, so that will be like a flashback trip to surgery....
I also go see him every 6 month for aftercare......you and Janice look really great after all those years,
I am still in the period were I worry that I will gain it all back, of course that all depends how you take care of yourself, but still.....
