Menopausal women- hot flashes again?

Ladies, I think I'm the senior of the group, and the last 4 or 5 years had been a flurry of hot flashes followed by a time of calm....only to start up hot flashes again. I thought it would NEVER end. However, I've been hot flash free for about 6 months now. (Oh please let it be permanent!) For me, every time I thought I was *done* with hot flashing, it would come back for one more round. I haven't had any hot flashes since January and none since surgery (Thank Heaven!), so I'm hoping I'm done. If this is contagious, I may have to cancel on our Bricktown dinner. ; ) I never did find anything that truly relieved the situation. I had an abd.hysterectomy in 1984 but still had my pesky ovaries. They cause the trouble. ; ) I'm hoping mine have withered to the size of Grape Nuts by now!!!

Dog gone, I hope I haven't jinxed myself by typing that I thought I was done with hot flashes! : 0

Blessings and Best Wishes! Shelly

I'm a 52.5 yr. old female with chronic illness ... exercising and riding a bike daily! : )

Yeesh..and I don't take any hormones. I went off them cold turkey because they didn't help me. DH would LOVE for the hot flashes to come to me.
