Menopausal women- hot flashes again?

I am having horrible hot flashes since surgery.  I have worked with my pharmacist on my hormone dosages but we haven't hit the magic dose yet.  Has anyone else had this issue or am I a freak (OK- shut it Ruthie!) Denise edited for spelling- should really check before hitting send!

Yeah, I mean no, you are not a freak.  I've had a hystie, and then I decided last summer to do away with premarin because they abuse horses to get it....and I've never been the same.  I've got some synthetic crap I'm giving a try now and if that doesn't work, I'm gonna have to abuse horses again.

Right at this very moment I have a pimple on my chin.  I didn't even get pimples when I was a teenager, I'm not sure they even call them that any more.

I don't know if any of this info helps, but at least you know you are not alone.

What do they do to the poor horses!  Or do I not want to know???

Premarin stands for pregnant mare urine-it's made from distilled horse pee.  But they get the mares pregnant and keep them inside with little water (to make their pee stronger).  When the foal is born, the wean it often too early and then discard it at the slaughter auctions.  The mares are "retired" at the same auction.

omg!  poor horsies!  I used to take premarin a very low dose but I weaned myself off of it and seem to be ok.....................how do you find out all this information that you have in that brain of yours?  I feel like a retard in comparison!!!  lol

I'm one of those people who can't remember what day of the month it is-but I know all kinds of important stuff like snakes have two wee wees (boy snakes that is).

It must be something in out DNA!  I've lost this much weight before with no hot flashes.  I just can't figure out why this time is so different. I emailed Brandy and asked about hormones and if they had gyno they liked and recommended.  I guess I will give up and see a specialist about this.  I am miserable.
