Spinning & Such

You guys, I have to tell you how much fun I've that the last two weeks.  I joined a gym in Muskogee and am taking a Spinning class!  I LOVE IT!!!  We ride the bikes at different intervals and resistance for 45min and then we get ready for work.  We spin Mon Wed Fri and I have been doing the nautilus  equipment on Tues/Thurs morinings.  I have to leave the house at 5:30 am to get there and get to work by 7:15, but I'm trying to just make it a new routine.  I know this is just what I needed to jump start my little plateau.  I've lost 5# the last 7 days, so YEA for me.   I just wanted to toot the horn and let anyone know that its possible...jumping threw hoops for the surgery, losing the weight, feeling better AND learning all the new things I like to do !!!

Thank you!  Seriously though, I am really trying to "change my ways".  I am SO scared to gain the weight back.  I mean, I'm not even done loosing yet and I'm scared.  Its just that I talk to so many people (after the surgery) that say, Oh I know so and so who had the surgery and they have gained ALL their weight back!!  I don't know if they are being "ugly" or if its a fact.  I'm just trying to make a positive change....for me.

I think spinning is some kind of stationery bicycle thing.

My son referred to a spinning class as a prostate exam on fake wheels!  He took an exercise class where they tried different exercises. Denise

Yes, spinning is a stationary bike.  Sounds kinda boring but it truely was fun.  You do several heats/reps like this.....  1 min on a medium resistance then 1 min sprinting (fast pedaling on a low resistance) then "out of the seat" for 45 seconds which is high resistance standing up out of the seat then back to "recovery" which is a medium resistance for 2 min then you do it over again 2 x.  Then we do it all alittle different with different times.  45 minutes goes VERY FAST that way.
