Back from Weatherford

Good Morning everyone!  Just a note to let you know that OK is GORGEOUS!  I am a lil worried about a city girl like me being in an itty bitty town, tho...the wind farm can only hold my interest for so long, ya know? So, tell me..do you have frequent gatherings in OKC or somewhere else "close"?  Do y'all do the meet and greet thing?  Coffee hour?  Breakfasts?  Run around with your undies on yer head?  Anything????  In TX, I do attend a lot of social events, and I am anxious to squeeze myself in with y'all...lol

Yes, we do get together here in OKC.  Our next get together that is firmly planned is a dinner on July 23 in Bricktown (downtown OKC) at the Bricktown Brewery.  I think the time is 6:30.  Watch the posts here for details.

Thanks!  I am not going to be in OK on the 23rd, as I do have to stay in TX until our house sells, or December, whichever comes first.  I SO look forward to meeting y'all!

I moved from Shreveport, La (almost Texas) about 20 years ago and boy it was a transition.  But, I have to say that the people here are nicer than any other state I have been to.  Weight Wise has a support group meeting open to anyone twice a month.  The pouch support group is the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month....Ruth will come along in give the details I am sure.  Ruth is pretty much our ring leader! LOL!  Kim -Glittergal has arranged a couple of meet and greets and I think I saw a post early about someone planning a cookout later this month....you might page down and look for that post.

I noticed how polite everyone was, even waving when you passed them on the road.  I am originally from NY, so  was taught don't make eye contact, much less wave...OY VEY, this is gonna take some getting used to, lol! It sounds like you are a very active, social group...can't wait to interact with everyone!!!

Nice to meet you! It's been awhile since I've been here. There's a FANTASTIC book store in Weatherford. They sell new and used books. Love those and was a frequent customer when I lived in that area.

Nice to meet you as well!  Is it the one on main and custer???  There was a book store I was checking out there, but it was closed for the holiday weekend...
