Broken Arrow. . .. Jenks. . . . ?

Do you live here . . . . do you have input as to where to live in these areas. . . which elementary schools would you put your kids in . .e t c . ... . . moving is so much more complicated when you have school age children to consider.   Where would you NOT live. . . . My husband and I are looking at a job opportunity in the Tulsa area and we need some input as to where we should look at housing, school etc.  If you have any information that would make this search easier please let me know.  THANKS.  Shannon in Arkansas

I live at 71st and Riverside which is 2 /12 miles (then a trip across the river) from Jenks.  I love the town and the school systems there.  They are ranked NATIONALLY in both academics and sports.  Broken Arrow is also a nice place to live but i personally feel the school system there is way too big.  Granted Jenks is big too but it is more broken down by ages so the classes and buildings are not as huge.

Shannon, go online to each district's website and look at their demographics, teacher preparation info, and test data.  That may help you narrow down your choices. Denise

I have lived in Broken Arrow since the age of 3.  Broken Arrow schools are great!  I went all 12 years and now my children go there.  Broken Arrow has grown so much and is still growing.  I moved to Jenks for 8 years and liked it there also.  We moved back to BA 4 years ago and LOVE it.   I can tell you where not to live in Tulsa.  I'd say anywhere in BA or Jenks would be nice and they both have great schools.
