New blog
If you have to do all the work to make a relationship then he isn't a nice guy. Dump his butt! I have been single for a very long time and you CAN have a full and happy life alone. I spent my time raising a wonderful son who will be a wonderful husband and father. You are worth way more that he was going to give you.

Relationships are give and take, NOT you give your all while they take it! Remember, you are a Goddess, and should be treated as such. You are a beautiful, young woman, and you have all the time in the world to find Mr. Right, not Mr. Right Now. Remember, there is a definite difference between being alone and being lonely. When alone, you have the best company available, yourself. If lonely, you can be surrounded by people, but still feel isolated, cheated, ignored.
Good luck! I always used to say that the worst part to being single was the dating...ugh...but, it will happen! be patient!

Sweetie, relationships are hard in the first place but when there is not a true committment from both parties it is just not going to work! Go pick up the book "He is just not that into you" By Greg Behrhardt,(if the spelling on the name is wrong I will recheck it at home ok) READ IT and READ IT AGAIN!!!! I have twice since Christmas. I really thought that after losing 156lbs it would be easier dating, it is not, but I am making progress. I am going to tell you the same thing that I told Dan, this first year after surgery, focus on you, don't worry about boyfriends and relationships, just have fun, focus on your surgery and your progress and your success. After you have gotten to your goal, then work on the next goal................ you know what I mean?

Oh, I absolutely understand! Thanks so much. I've heard of that book, but hadn't read it. I will pick it up today!!!!!! And I'm really not into relationships. I have a TON of things to focus on (weightloss, son, school, moving...etc.). I just think it would be fun to go out once in a while. I'm starting to think that doesn't even sound like fun anymore! lol
I'm really doing fine...just annoyed to heck with stupid guys!!! lol
Thanks for the message!

Total Loss: 137 lbs
Liz, you are headed to Ada, right? You and Michelle can be running buddies! Just think of thr trouble you two can get into! I am not sure Ada is big enough to hold the two of you together!
Obesity (and just plain being overweight) caused me at least to have some serious issues with dating as a teen and young adult. I know I would have never married my ex if I hadn't been fat. When I decide to re-enter the dating world I am going to have some serious learning to do that I didn't do as a young adult. I just hope when that time in my life comes I will have the opportunity to date and find a companion. You are young enough you will find a quality man that loves you and your son and will treat you well. This joker was NOT the one for you two. In a new relationship you should be seeing the best behavior a guy (or girl) has to offer. If the best he had to offer ws YOU make all the effort then he was just looking for a quick roll in the hay and not a relationship.
