Morning everyone!  I know that I could use some accountability on getting my 64 oz in.  I thought we could all post everytime we finish off a cup, bottle, whatever it is you drink.  Maybe this wil help us all start our week off in the right direction.  So far this morning (I just woke up) I am drinking 8oz of warm/ho****er with a touch of lemonaid crystal light.  I hope to have it down by 9:00 (it is 8:00 now). Okay, your turn now...

Good idea-but I'll log mine at the end of the day.  I started out with 8 oz soymilk though (not counting the coffee that was in there too.)

Well it took me 1/2 an hour longer to get my first drink in but turns out it was actually 10 oz and not 8.  So, 10 oz down and 54 more to go.  I am now working on a 24 oz bottle of peach ice tea.

I had 8 ozs before breakfast, then a 12 oz coffee.  (dang, can't count  that one!)  Now I'm working on 17 ozs or Propel grape.  You can bet your butt I'm watching this carefully!

Just finished my first 1.5 liters of Crystal Light for the day.  Will be mixing up a new bottle shortly... Keep on sipping, everyone! John

Dang John!! Were you always able to drink this much or did it just get better with time?  I've only had a total of 16 oz so far.  I'm eating a popsicle now cuz my peach ice tea suddenly doesn't sit so well.  I wish I could take a little bigger sip than I can.

Amy, No, it took me about three weeks to get back to full speed after surgery.  At first I was just taking tiny sips all the time, but I would be lucky if I managed to get through 50 ounces in a day.  I just kept working at it, and now that I am hitting two months (actually 9 weeks today) I can take bigger swallows at a time, so I get through it better.  Sometimes I still get too much in my mouth at once and end up having to swallow two or three times to get it all down, and then I have to wait for it to settle before I drink again.   At this point I try to get in at least 6 liters (roughly 200 ounces) a day - some days I don't quite make it, but it's been quite a while since I missed the required 64 oz. Hang in there - I think you're making great progress to be so soon after your surgery!   There are lots of great changes to come between 5 days and 9 weeks - you're going to love it!   I spent part of the weekend going through my closet again for pants that fit... I found some, but there are no smaller ones left, so when I shrink out of these I'll have to start shopping!  Just wait - the great parts are headed your way in a hurry! John

Amy this has always been the hardest part for me, I am not a drinker in general so I suck at it, I might be close to 10 ounces and it is almost noon! AB

Amy - good idea...some accountability is needed some times. Started my first 32 oz water at 6:30 a.m and finished it at 9:00 (also had a big cup of coffee in between) - Started my 2nd 32 oz at 11:00...still working on that. Don't forget that you can only take small sips now, so it will take you longer that some of us to drink, but you will be able to take bigger sips as you move along - Anna

Getting my fluids in is the hardest thing for me.  It is already 11:42 and all I have had is 12oz of G2 orange and about 6 oz of Crystal Light. Still have a long way to go.
