I am so glad you are doing well.  I've been dehydrated a couple of times, once before the band and once after, it is scary as heck.  Until you've been through it, you think , oh ,what's the big deal.....but it is a big deal, trust me.  It's a very strange feeling to think, gee, if I don't get some water in me soon, I will actually and truly die.......

The only good thing was motivating other people to be more careful in monitoring their water intake.  It's amazing how fast the dehydration gets you!

One thing that I want to add is that dehydration, even early on, clouds your judgement-your're tired, you don't feel well, why not sleep a bit and see what happens......couple that with sunstroke.  My rule of thumb for any emergency is "if you think you might need to go to the ER, you probably do."

You are so right.  All I wanted to do was sleep.  That's when my sister freaked out.  When I posted that I was going to go take another nap.  She flew up the Broadway extension to take me to WW.

I got very very dehdydrated during a bike ride a few years ago-stopped under a tree, but had no water.  The ambulance came by to pick me up, but they wouldn't let me bring my bike-so I refused to go.  What's funny is they had no water to take in by mouth and I wouldn't get in the ambulance for an IV-they called the sag wagon who showed up with water and a rack for my bike.

I'm not usually like that-so I blame it on the dehydration.  What was even more horrifying than the event was the chatter about it afterward over the CB about the crazy lady who wouldn't get in the ambulance.  I just drank my water and giggled.

Gal, I had NO IDEA!! Geez, the things a girl will do to get attention! LOL So glad you are better. ((hugs)) to you AND your great sis! I came very close to dehydration and the hospital due to everything tasting too )(*&()*& sweet and causing nausea. ...phenrgren wrist gel saved the day and got my fluid intake up.

I know!  I feel like Diana - look at all the stuff that happens when you leave for the weekend!  I am glad that you're better and I will most certainly keep a closer eye on my own fluid intake! Robyn
