My mother just decided to give me an early inheritance.
I told her she was giving me life for the second time!! That is what it boils down to...With 3 stents and A1C of 10 and out of control, severe apnea and on and on....This is a life saver! I just have to get the cpap for the apnea and have a stress test, per my cardio dr. requirements, try to act normal for the psych. test, and pass what ever else Dr. Walton has, besides losing the pre-op which will be the biggest battle!!! I thought I only had to lose 5% but because of how I carry my weight...all keg party, I have to lose 10% which is 22 lbs!! That seems so far away!!! it will happen!! I knowing talking to the nutritionist will help with ways to do it....,right now, Im in panic mode!!
That is a wonderful gift! My parents were both very concerned about my weight, not in a criticizing way, but in a caring, kind of worried way - I know that if they were both still living they would have been first in line to pay for my surgery. So I am very happy for you and for this turn of events. And don't worry about the pre-op weight loss, they will help you at WW and it will come off in no time, they helped me drop 50 lbs pre-op and I thought that was something I could not accomplish in a million years! - Anna
That's awesome news. At least you're Mom can see the benefits after you have your surgery and are getting back to healthy! God does work in mysterous ways we all know that. You can do all of the above. I wonder if there is a way to "rent" a c-pap?? You won't need to all that long after you loose weight. I should be able to get rid of mine soon. I have to be re-tested in a couple of months. Just keep your eye on the prize. Lot of good living left for us "older" women I know that....Debbie
